Kronborg Slot

The castle Kronborg Slot is one of the most distinguished Renaissance castles in Northern Europe with a unique location by the sound Øresund. The story of the castle dates back to the 1420'ies. It is famous because parts of Shakespeare's Hamlet took place here and today, it is one of Denmark's most important culture-historical attractions. The appearance of the castle is a mixture of an elegant royal palace and a brutal fortress. Inside you are able to admire the art of the Renaissance and the Baroque.
