Thorsager Kirke

Thorsager Kirke is the only round church in Jutland and equally one of the 7 round churches in Denmark, which originates from the Middle Ages. The church dates back to the year 1200 and was presumably build by the bishop Absalon and his family. The Absalon round churches are recognisable because of their 4 bearing columns - in contradistinction to the round churches of Bornholm, which merely have one column in the centre of the church room.
