Veretanbanen Bryrup-Vrads

The railway stretch Bryrup-Vrads is a remnant from the former Horsens-Bryrup-Silkeborg railway, which was ceased in 1968. Today, it is known as Denmark?s most beautiful railway. The charming old veteran train with the well-maintained steam locomotive in the front brings you through the idyllic nature with forests and lakes, which surrounds the 5 kilometre long section.
The veteran train is running each Saturday and Sunday from April to October. In the high season the train also runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Two weekends in December you can also climb onboard a christmas tree train. Tickets for the veteran railway stretch Bryrup-Vrads can be ordered through mail or telephone.
