The Reef

Now you can experience a great adventure in subtropical settings at Hotel Scandic in Frederikshavn. The inviting 1,500 square metres aquapark The Reef opened in 2010 and offers tropical atmosphere and water activities for the whole family. In just two hours you can experience a whole day in the Caribbean -with sunrise, thunder and lightning, tropical rain, bird song and sunset. The aquapark consists of palm trees and other tropical vegetation as well as large pool, an 80 metres long water slide, grottos, rocks, waterfalls, saunas and whirlpools. Outdoor you can enjoy a whirlpool and an open-air swimming pool, where the water is always 30 degrees centigrade warm. When you have gambolled in the water, you can visit Lobster Bobs bar or the restaurant Calypso. The Reef is open every day -year round -from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
