Silkeborg Kanocenter

Rent a canoe, a kayak or a rowboat in the canoe centre Silkeborg Kanocenter and go on a sail on the stream Gudenåen. Set out from f.x. Tørring, spend the night on a camping ground or a pitch, and arrive in Fladbro. An excursion on Gudenåen offers many sights on the way. Among other things you can experience the old hydroelectric plant Vestbirk, which is still in function, and the 108 metres high view point Sukkertoppen. The sail through the canal Klosterkanalen, which was build in connection with the convent mill in order to exploit the hydraulic power, is an extremely interesting experience.
